In an effort to further improve customer service and enhance marketing skills in the Chinese market, Sumitomo Seika Chemicals Co Ltd (SSC) has decided to establish a wholly owned sales subsidiary in China.
All of the products manufactured by SSC, such as super absorbent polymers and electronic gases, will be handled by this new subsidiary.
Overview of Subsidiary
1. Company Name Sumitomo Seika Trading (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. (Tentative name)
2. Location Shanghai, People's Republic of China
3. Representative Chairman, Toshio Hayashi
4. Primary Business Sales of super absorbent polymers (for disposable diapers, etc.), gas products (electronic gases, etc.), functional chemicals (for cosmetics, etc.), etc.
5. Capital 80 million yen
6. Ownership Wholly-owned by SSC
7. Date of Establishment Around March, 2011
Future Outlook
The establishment of this new subsidiary will have only a minor impact on our consolidated financial results for the fiscal year ending in March, 2011.
