China leather shoes surged in production and export for H1

Production value for leather shoes totaled 157 billion yuan and reported 23.1% of growth in the first six months from the previous year. In terms of volume the country leather shoes production grew 15.1% to 1.83 billion pairs. During the same period of last year production dropped by 5.7% in volume.
Exports for leather shoes in the first half also reported 9% of growth to 460 million pairs and 15.2% in value to 4.41 billion U.S. dollars. The exports for the same period of last year experienced the decline of 24.8％ in pairs and 14.7％decline in value.
