TODAY was an epic day for hair and make-up teams as both Chanel and Kenzo put on show-stopping performances with what seemed like an army of models.

Chanel make-up artist Peter Philips and hair stylist Sam McKnight had their work cut out for them as they prepared 87 models to walk the catwalk (which incidentally was a maze that spanned the entire Grand Palais) with glossy smoky black eyes and slickly-parted ponytails.

Then onto Kenzo later in the day, where the fashion house was celebrating its 40th anniversary with 80 models (yes, that's right, 80): 40 walking in archive pieces as part of a retrospective and 40 walking in ready-to-wear. Accordingly, Eugene Souleiman and Tom Pecheux created two hair and make-up looks respectively, each with 30 assistants.

It is hard to imagine just how tomorrow will trump today's dramatic displays, but with Paris all-stars Louis Vuitton and Miu Miu both showing, we'll be leaving Paris on a high...
