Video grab of Lady Gaga's "Alejandro."
Lady Gaga dresses oddly again. This time is for her sister's graduation.
The U.S. singer, also known as Stefani Germanotta, on Tuesday attended her sister's graduation ceremony at the Convent of the Sacred Heart, on East 91st Street at Fifth Avenue in New York City, where she had miserable high school life, according to U.S. media reports.
Gaga's pals said the singer sincerely wanted to make the occasion a bit more enjoyable by dissing the school she hated.
"Part of going to the graduation in that outfit was her showing the bullies that she has emerged like a swan, she has made something of her life and has found the freedom to express her creativity," said one of her friends.
"She's a star and she's made it on her own terms." the source added.
The star, who is famous for always being with bizarre dress in the public, deliberately dressed in a beekeeper's hat and see-through pants, carried a Chinese-takeout-shaped Chanel bag, and wore sky-high platforms that let her stand tall without heels, her pals told media.
This clearly delivered a message, "I'm a star, the rest of you aren't and you can all go to hell," according to the media reports.
Gaga's little sister Natali apparently didn't mind being upstaged by the outrageously dressed diva.
The singer used to describe her academic life in high school as "very dedicated, very studious, very disciplined" but also "a bit insecure" in an interview.
This week, she released a video, "Alejandro," in which she mocks Catholic images by wearing a red nun's habit and swallowing rosary beads.
