Jean-Pierre Braganza studied fine art in Canada before moving to London to study at the prestigious Central St Martins College. On graduation he worked with Roland Mouret, honing his tailoring and draping skills, and in 2004 debuted his eponymous label at London Fashion Week. Showcasing his collections around the world, Braganza has been invited to show at international fashion weeks including Milan, Tokyo, Shanghai, Berlin, Toronto, Kiev and many more. He has been a finalist for many prestigious awards, including the British Fashion Councils Fashion Forward, The Swiss Textiles award, and the Mango Fashion award. Braganza was also selected by Karl Lagerfeld as his protégé for the AW08/09 season after winning the Australian Wool Innovation Award.
Braganza’s design philosophy is based on obsession with the human form. He has developed a signature incorporating modern tailoring
and drape, structured architectural panels and complex prints.
Braganza’s darkly glamorous aesthetic draws inspirations from the organic and the technologic.
